Accessibility Statement
Effective August 6, 2026 · Last updated August 6, 2026
Priorityou is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, voice control, or reduced motion enabled.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark generally referenced in connection with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and with New York State and New York City accessibility law. We treat it as the standard for this site.
What we have done
- Color and contrast. Every text color on this site was checked against its background. Body text, small text and interface labels meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required at Level AA; large display type meets or exceeds 3:1. The brand's copper and taupe are used for ornament and large headings only, with darkened, contrast-verified variants substituted wherever those colors carry body text.
- Keyboard access. All interactive controls — navigation, the guided questionnaire, the treatment dialogs, the contact controls — are reachable and operable with the keyboard alone. A visible focus indicator is shown on every focused element, and dialogs can be dismissed with the Escape key.
- Screen readers. Pages use semantic HTML with a logical heading structure. Every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology. Dialogs, status messages and progress indicators are announced through appropriate ARIA roles and live regions.
- Motion. The site honors the operating-system "reduce motion" setting. When it is enabled, animation, parallax and the background video are suppressed. The background video is silent, and no content flashes.
- Zoom and reflow. Text scales and content reflows to 200% zoom and to narrow viewports without loss of information or horizontal scrolling.
- Forms. The site does not use web forms; inquiries are taken by telephone and email, both of which remain fully available.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state. Where third-party content is embedded — web fonts, for example — we do not control that provider's code. If you encounter something on this site that does not work with your assistive technology, we want to know about it specifically so we can fix it.
Alternative ways to reach us
If any part of this website prevents you from getting the information you need, you do not have to work around it. Call 917 · 805 · 1100 or email marlandkaplanfnp@gmail.com and we will give you the same information by phone, by email, or in whatever format works for you, at no cost.
Accessibility of our services
Priorityou is a house-call practice: clinicians come to you. If you require a specific accommodation for your appointment — a sign language interpreter, materials in large print, extra time, a particular communication method, or anything else — tell us when you schedule and we will arrange it.
Feedback
We welcome reports of accessibility barriers. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to respond within three business days and to remediate confirmed issues promptly.
